Spectrum colored pencil and watercolor 26" x 36" 1999 My earliest memory of attempting to impose order on my visual world was arranging my big box of 64 Crayola crayons in chromatic order. I am still delighted by neatly organized sets of colored pencils, pastels, and paints. In the “Spectrum” series, I combine my love of nature and my love of color, seeking out flora and fauna to represent each spectral hue.
